Los Angeles has something to offer everyone, starting with Griffith Park. It spans an impressive 4,210 acres, which makes it easy to get lost in L.A.’s largest public green space, much of which has remained unchanged for over a century. With a myriad of other attractions linked to the park including the Los Angeles Zoo and Griffith Observatory, you can also enjoy great hiking trails that afford truly stunning views of the city and surrounding areas.
From Griffith Park travel to historic Sunset Boulevard in a campervan rental. Make your way to Hollywood Boulevard, a Los Angeles cultural icon with museums, landmarks, and other Hollywood attractions that celebrate L.A.’s rich film and entertainment heritage. From Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, there is plenty to see and do. From Hollywood, continue on to Santa Monica Boulevard and head over to one of the most exclusive areas in the world. Beverly Hills is home to Hollywood’s A-List and to the famous Rodeo Drive, which is a nice place to go for a walk and take in the city.
The next stop is Santa Monica Beach and the famous Santa Monica Boardwalk. Here you will find amusement rides, arcades, street food, and a nice place to relax and enjoy some California sun. Head down the road and you will come across the world-famous Venice Beach. This is another interesting LA must-do where you can rent a bicycle and take a ride along the beach or go for a workout at Muscle Beach. Even further down the road, you’ll find Manhattan Beach, which boasts two miles of sparkling coastline, almost all of it stacked with dreamy hillside homes. Most of the activity is centered around the walkable waterfront. Walk to the beach via the Strand for countless volleyball nets and the Manhattan Beach Pier.
Los Angeles is also home to Six Flags Magic Mountain, which is a thrilling amusement park about an hour north of LA. An hour to the south is the Disneyland and California Adventure Parks which are a must-do when visiting the LA area. There are countless exciting things to do and see in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas that you can easily access with a campervan rental.

Contrary to common belief, Los Angeles is not part of a desert ecosystem. While it is located very close to deserts like Palm Springs, the city itself is actually situated on a Mediterranean biome between the mountains and the sea.
